Meet Our Partners
We work with partners in the Pacific Northwest to bring quality training to under-served workers. We travel to remote Native Alaskan Villages, urban cities, and tribal lands to present a wide variety of health and safety courses.

ECWT strives to train disadvantaged and underrepresented minority workers in construction and hazardous materials/waste handling
HAZMAT DISASTER PREPAREDNESS TRAINING
HDPT enhances the safety and health training of current first responders and hazardous materials workers
Western Region Universities Consortium
The University of Washington’s NIEHS Worker Training Program is a member of the Western Region Universities Consortium (WRUC). WRUC consists of four university-based programs located in the Western United States serving U.S. EPA Regions 9 and 10. WRUC’s mission is to protect workers and communities from exposure to hazardous materials and hazardous waste; to prevent, prepare for, respond to, and recover from emergencies/disasters; and to create pathways to careers in the environmental field and construction industry. WRUC provides training courses targeted to cleanup site workers, state and county emergency response personnel, hazardous waste and hazardous materials transportation personnel, and waste site assessment workers. Consortium members also collaborate with community-based and tribal organizations to provide training for unemployed or underemployed workers, non-English speakers, those who are geographically isolated and/or with limited literacy skills.
